Job Title: UI/ UX Designer

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven UI/ UX Designer to join our team to help us get the most out of our customer research and incorporate that research to keep transforming our product into a beautiful, user friendly application. You will work closely with our operations, marketing, product and software development teams to validate new concepts, designs and hypotheses to ensure our product will be as successful as possible. If you’re passionate about user feedback and enjoy putting that feedback into creating more user-friendly designs, can transfer complex software into simplistic and handy products for users and clients, as well as having a passion for delivering creative solutions for UI/UX design problems, we may have the next adventure here with us at Jooler!

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and gather all requirements of users and collaborate with product engineers and managers

  • Plan and implement new designs 

  • Optimize existing user interface designs

  • Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives

  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions

  • Create prototypes/ mockups for new product ideas

  • Test new ideas before implementing 

  • Conduct ongoing user research

  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback

  • Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces

  • Design UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, widgets, tabs, menus and informational components

  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experiences

  • Work with designers and engineers to brainstorm application ideas

  • Work with other developers to ensure that websites and apps are functional and visually appealing for various devices

  • Develop and conceptualize comprehensive UI/UX design strategies

  • Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages

  • Collaborate with the marketing team, software developers and external stakeholders to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user

  • Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UI/ UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior

  • Produce high-quality designs using wireframes, flow diagrams, graphic and visual design, sitemaps, prototypes, and storyboards

  • Adhere to the graphic design and typography style standards

  • Create tables, sketches, filters, images, and other website/application graphic designs

  • Conduct user tests of developed applications to evaluate user experience

  • Be able to gather user pain points from users within a UI/UX framework and effectively implement initiatives to constantly improve these user experiences

  • Not be afraid to disrupt user experiences to get the best out of our product in the long run

  • Lead brainstorming sessions to detail product and business needs and requirements

  • Develop, test and refine our user experience for both our web and mobile applications

  • Have complete ownership of the look and feel of our current and future products

  • Be the gatekeeper for launches of new products ensuring our hypotheses are having a positive impact on both user experience and business finances.

 

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years UI/UX design experience for digital products or services

  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile applications

  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Mockplus, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe XD,  Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)

  • Ability to discuss and explain design options

  • Has a focus on improving user experience and user interface through design elements

  • Is passionate about research and data, as well as the creative side of the role and can recognize user pain points
