We are seeking an experienced and decisive Operation Manager to lead the daily operations of our premier resort in Maldive Village, Seychelles. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of resort operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence and profitability. You will manage a diverse team, coordinate multiple departments, and implement strategic initiatives that drive the resort's success in this tropical paradise destination.

  • Oversee all daily operational activities across the resort, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services
  • Lead, mentor, and manage resort staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional development
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures while maintaining service quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions
  • Coordinate with department heads to optimize resource allocation, scheduling, and inventory management
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency
  • Manage guest relations and resolve escalated complaints with professionalism and discretion
  • Implement and maintain property management systems and operational procedures to streamline processes
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, occupancy rates, and revenue generation
  • Liaise with corporate management, ownership, and external stakeholders regarding operational performance and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure the resort maintains its brand standards and delivers consistent, high-quality service experiences

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive operations management experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multi-departmental teams and staff of 50+ employees
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and revenue optimization
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and hospitality management software
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality industry standards, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
  • Guest-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience managing luxury or upscale resort properties
  • Familiarity with Maldivian hospitality standards or Indian Ocean resort operations
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and coordination
  • Experience with revenue management and yield optimization strategies
  • Crisis management and problem resolution experience in hospitality settings
  • Multilingual capabilities
  • Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly resort operations

Additional Information

Experience:
Minimum 8 years in Resort Beach operations management; 10–15 years in senior roles ideal.
