The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of attending college, or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challenge this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children.

Responsibilities:  

I. Design teaching plans and excel at teaching your subject (60% time)

• Design innovative Annual Plans, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans - and contribute to the central Curriculum
• Teach subjects of your expertise and achieve stellar outcomes
• Design and conduct regular assessments to monitor learning and analyze data to improve the school
• Define and lead the building of a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy 
• Collaborate with parents of the students through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement

II. Coordination of School and Organization Projects (30% time)

• Coordinate and lead the highest impact projects in school, such as Hobby Clubs, Career Awareness, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc.
• Serve as iTeach Subject Team Coordinators, Grade Team Coordinators, and iTeach Interviewers 
• Coordinate relationships with government officials, neighboring schools, and the iTeach Network Team
• Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and mentor newer teachers

III. Mentoring students (10% time)

• Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year
• Develop ways to ensure that these students have strong study habits, high attendance, and the drive to excel - share these plans with all teachers across the ecosystem

Experience and Competencies:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic and holistic performance
• Required: Top quartile score on iTeach Teacher Aptitude Test
• Required: Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 2+ years
• Preferred: B Ed Degree

Compensation and Benefits: We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 4.4 - 5.4 LPA CTC, and we are dedicated to providing top-notch industry benefits.
