About the role:

As a Business Systems Analyst Specialist you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure that our teams continue to deliver more best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank and invest. You’ll work as part of a team in a scrum setting and must be a self- motivated, proactive, and out-of-the-box thinker.

What you will be doing:

  • Identifying strategies as well as improvement opportunities while also reengineering processes for greater efficiency.

  • Selecting hardware, software and vendors.

  • Conducting tests to ensure changes made by programmers are correct.

  • Assesses, applies and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders.

  • Uses knowledge of systems and industry requirements to develop or modify complex information systems.

  • Writes test plans and test cases to ensure changes which are made to the application meet client needs and that application integrity is maintained.

  • Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests. Ensures changes made by programmers are correct.

  • Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met.

  • Verifies through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts.

  • Reports and reviews testing results.

  • Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures. Conducts one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience.

  • May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.

  • Considers business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.


What you will need:

  • Proficient in OMNI PLUS is Mandatory

  • 5-10+ Years of experience working within the Retirement Industry is Mandatory

  • 10+ years of business systems analyst experience required

  • Knowledge of FIS’ products and services

  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development

  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.

  • Knowledge of financial services industry and an understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.

  • A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience – master’s degree is desirable.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $99,830.00 - $167,700.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
