Job Description

FIS is a leading fintech innovator, empowering consumers and businesses with cutting-edge financial technology solutions. We champion diversity and innovation to advance the way the world pays, banks, and invests. If you're ready to embark on a journey of learning, growth, and impactful contributions in the fintech realm, we want to hear from you.

The FIS Platform team operates as an incubated startup within FIS, with a mandate to create a world-class embedded finance platform. We have a fast-paced and fun group that believes strongly in customer-centricity and setting a high bar for everything we ship.

As a Senior Product Designer at FIS, you’ll take ownership of design vision and execution to design the future of banking experience for millions of consumers. This is a senior-level position within our new design group, focusing on a mix of building banking experiences from scratch, redesigning existing SaaS banking products, and contributing to an FIS design system.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll shape the future of banking products used by millions globally, driving creative and strategic design leadership across our platforms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate product strategy discussions, road mapping sessions, and ideation activities to support business goals.
  • Collaborate with product leads and engineering teams to manage multiple design workstreams, from ideation to execution.
  • Design intuitive, end-to-end product experiences for financial products, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
  • Utilize user research, data, and insights to inform design decisions, creating prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Lead design sprints and planning sessions, ensuring deliverables are on time and meet high-quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in design systems and frameworks, enabling reuse and scalability across the product suite.
  • Communicate the impact of design decisions within the project team and beyond, telling a clear story of why decisions were made.
  • Work through ambiguity, turning complex problems into clear design solutions.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally within tech companies or enterprise environments, bonus for fintech or banking experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in visual design, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering) to ship high-quality products.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools; familiarity with developer platforms such as React is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proven track record of translating user research into successful product designs and delivering impactful web and mobile experiences.

What We Offer:

  • Impactful Work: Shape the future of digital banking experiences.
  • Growth Opportunities: Continued learning, development, and leadership opportunities.
  • Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health plans, 401(k), and more.
