Job Description

Trading Operations:

  • Collaborate with on-shore & off-shore Procurement traders in Indonesia & Vietnam to understand and coordinate the overall position;
  • Oversee the direct buying of Robusta in Vietnam
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of contracts;
  • Manage the open position profitable and efficiently of Vietnam and Indonesia robusta under supervision from Managing Directors
  • Collaborate with logistics and production teams to coordinate the smooth flow of goods.
  • Coordinate with internal Sucafina sales teams (domestically and globally) and customers as needed to sell Indonesia & Vietnam Robusta
  • Actively market and sell Africa & Asia Arabica & Robusta to Folgers

Market Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of global market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply-demand factors related to robusta coffee;
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and risks.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with customers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions;
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all contracts are following regulations and company policies

Risk management:  

  • Monitor and assess potential risks in the supply chain and implement proactive measures to address them.
  • Monitor and manage yields and quality throughout the supply chain.

Reporting:  

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on trading performance, market insights, and recommendations for strategic adjustments;

Team Collaboration:  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution of trading operations;

 Sales Target:

  • Build/find new customers, open new markets, ensure sales target and growth rate;

  • Excellent communication and ability to clarify/put across a point, relationship management internal and external;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and good commercial sense;
  • Service oriented, understands clients needs and executes to high standards, manages expectations;
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and buyers;

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Coffee Trader or soft commodity
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends;
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of trading agreements;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to engage with suppliers, buyers, and attend industry events;
