About the team:  

The role of Software Engineer is to primarily work on Enterprise web applications and Restful API services. This person will closely work with Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to build and deliver the committed priorities. The engineer will be primarily responsible for end-to-end delivery of the code rollouts and automation. We are looking for someone who is passionate and loves to learn new things.

What you will be doing:

• Designing, programming, debugging, modifying software enhancements and automation scripts
• Working as an individual contributor on delivery of high-quality Restful API and user interfaces (UI) using Angular and custom frameworks
• Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications
• Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements
• Develop reusable components and library elements to accelerate cross-product development
• Exploring latest tech platforms and defining complex UI solutions
• Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams

What you will need:

• 7+ years software engineering work experience
• 5+ years of experience working on high scale or high stakes production application
• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and architecture
• Experience with containerization tools and infrastructure, including Docker
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations, and operations
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines
• Thorough knowledge of RESTful API development
• Strong knowledge of Java J2EE Technologies, Spring framework, Hibernate, Kafka, MQ, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Maven, XML, Junit
• Hands on experience in Ruby script
• Good understanding of TCP/IP Protocol, Certificates, Security vulnerabilities
• A bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
