Ace Hotel’s home here is in Boerum Hill on the cusp of Downtown Brooklyn, at a geographical Venn diagram of overlapping energies — from the tree-lined streets and brownstones of Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens all the way down to the restless East River. The ever-evolving intersection of everything. Ace Brooklyn is anchored by a vibrant culinary program that’s as inspired and culturally alive as the neighborhoods around us. As You Are is an all-day affair, a bar, restaurant and bakery that serves seasonal, from-scratch fare dawn and through dusk. The Lobby is our womb-like hub offering all who pass through a place to enjoy a coffee, a cocktail or a comforting bite. Now all we need is you.

Bartenders prepare beverage orders in accordance with Ace Hotel standards and recipes. Manage flow of guests in and around the bar area. Keep the bar clean and organized. This would be for our Lobby Bar, Garden Bar and possibly our As You Are Restaurant.

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare cocktails and other drink orders to guests’ specifications while maintaining Ace quality standards
• Handle payment for beverage purchases in compliance with Ace, PCI and cash handling procedures
• Properly check all guests’ identification to ensure legal age compliance
• Properly input guest orders through the POS system
• Work with a spirit of teamwork
• Communicate needs and ideas to management (we want to hear from you!)
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings
• Manage inventory for liquor, wine, beer and other beverage ingredients
• Perform side work as needed
• Perform additional duties as requested by department managers and supervisors
