Overview
The Director, Sales Operations is responsible for the collection, analysis, and distribution of sales-related data to increase overall sales productivity and results. This important role will be focused on four key categories, strategy, technology, operations and performance across the sales organization. This individual will collect sales data and evaluate activity, results and performance based on established sales targets and initiatives. This may include normalizing and reconciling disparate data from different sources. The development and tracking of key performance indicators will be critical to enhancing Gracenote’s analytics and improving its decision-making processes driving revenue growth across sales and vertical targets.
The Director, Revenue Operations will create both standardized & custom reports, conduct quantitative Market, Vertical, Product & Revenue analysis, and assess data integrity issues and requirements. This individual will help develop standardized practices, methodologies, tools and business processes aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness while growing revenues. This role will be called upon to effectively contribute to sales action planning, budget planning and strategic planning for global expansion.
The individual will support and drive effective and timely development and training of other team members and oversee projects to ensure consistent data collection, reporting and analytics and metrics. The Director will bring relevant expertise to insure valuable, unique and desired analytics can be achieved.
Responsibilities
- Lead an operational team and serve as the primary contact for guidance, trouble-shooting and problem-solving specific sales, opportunity and forecasting data questions and requests
- Monitor and track key sales metrics such as sales pipeline and sales results to inform and assist sales leads
- Manage the company’s Salesforce instance to drive the needed reporting and data collection.
- Coordinate and execute Salesforce changes.
- Coordinate and execute timely quarterly global sales analysis utilizing reporting through Salesforce and finance
- Collaborate with a diverse sales team and other analysts across global regions to align and insure consistent and accurate sales metrics and analysis for sales activity, pipeline and sales results
- Deliver market and regional results and analytics and collaborate on recommendations to optimize results
- Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report sales results and identify ways to increase sales productivity & results
- Present analysis to sales leaders highlighting actionable items that inform and assist in driving revenue growth
- Surface insights through charts and graphs to engage and guide critical business decision-making
- Evaluate trends and performance measured against sales quotas and deliver clear, concise, actionable metrics
- Generate custom reporting based on knowledge of Salesforce.com field definitions for sales analytics
- Build strong and trusted relationships with sales and finance leaders and teams to drive valuable and aligned analysis
- Prepare and support sales revenue budgeting and target development needs and requests
- Lead and assign support for on the fly and as requested reporting and analysis for sales leadership
Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Gracenote’s markets, regions, verticals and global sales and revenue drivers is desired
- Highly motivated to develop and provide complex and accurate trend analysis and forecasting
- Ability to provide recommendations with thorough, thoughtful, succinct data
- Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to identify, collect and manage data analysis of varying size and scope
- Strong written / verbal communication & presentation skills; able to convey complex information simply/concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Possess a unique blend of technical, business and people skills with a desire to drive results
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Salesforce.com
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar training will enhance candidacy

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $110,000 - $140,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
