Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a talented Engineering Specialist to join the L3Harris team and provide RF engineering support, test, and integration activities.

The Engineering Services Senior Associate position plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various departments, contributing to the overall success of our organization. This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, requiring excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Essential Functions:

The following, but not limited to, are the overall Engineering Services responsibilities:

  • Perform Data Transfer Agent responsibilities across all EW programs.
  • Generate, track, and close lab related actions.
  • Perform the role of lab custodian, ensuring all equipment is monitored, tracked, calibrated, and configured to support the program needs.
  • Utilize standard electronic test and measurement equipment to evaluate/troubleshoot equipment and components.
  • Generate new procedures and configuration documents as required to support test and measurement of sustained equipment.
  • Assemble, configure, calibrate, align, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided.
  • Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools. Provide failure analysis and corrective action input.
  • Collaborate with design, systems, logistics, and integration engineering teams.
  • Interface cross-functionally with program management, quality, supply chain, and operations management
  • Support lean/process improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.  Preferred prior related experience:
    • Responsibilities for Systems Engineering documentation.
    • Experience on test procedures and test equipment.
    • Briefing to Engineering team for approval and incorporating changes.
    • Developing test procedures for RF equipment/COTS electronics/networking equipment.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with a broad range of electronic test and measurement equipment including: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, and network analyzers.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • ESD training/certification.
  • Experience with supporting government and/or DoD customers.
  • Be a team player, pro-active, and customer oriented with a sense of urgency to accomplish a given task or goal.
