Job Opportunity: Business Services Special Projects Accountant

We are looking for a Business Services Special Projects Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will provide extensive accounting support and direction to the Business Services Department. Your main goal will be to inspire and prepare scholars with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to the community, and engage in a lifetime of learning. Your responsibilities will include researching and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, performing key technical accounting tasks, and overseeing projects related to building bonds and LTFM. The position is expected to end after the completion of all referendum and LTFM projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Aligning with the organization's mission and core values
  • Developing and communicating a shared vision
  • Planning and executing continuous improvement processes
  • Ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements
  • Developing staff and individual capacity
  • Providing supervision and formative feedback
  • Coordinating accounting for building bonds and LTFM projects
  • Supporting budgets, revenues, and expenditures
  • Monitoring project progress and compliance
  • Preparing financial reports and documentation
  • Maintaining general accounting functions and records
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent relevant degree
  • Three years of proven success in accounting with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
