Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Distinguished Engineer to help us build the foundation for our enterprise AI capabilities. In this role, you will work on diverse initiatives, including designing secure infrastructure, building large-scale distributed training clusters, deploying AI models in real-time scenarios, and supporting cutting-edge AI research and development. Your expertise will contribute to the design and implementation of key services alongside a team of AI engineers and researchers. Some examples of projects you will work on include: - Designing fault-tolerant infrastructure to support large-scale training tasks, even in the event of node failures. - Building infrastructure for serving large machine learning models in the public cloud. - Implementing benchmarks to measure the performance of AI systems and providing technology recommendations. - Developing applications utilizing language and image models. - Designing and implementing capabilities to support MLOps for foundation models. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. - At least 7 years of experience designing and building distributed computing and large-scale ML systems. - At least 5 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms in Python or C/C++. - At least 3 years of experience with the full ML development lifecycle using AI and ML frameworks and public cloud. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with a focus on modern AI techniques. - Experience designing large-scale distributed platforms and systems in cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Experience architecting cloud systems for security, availability, performance, scalability, and cost. - Experience with delivering large models through the MLOps lifecycle. - Experience with building GPU clusters in the public cloud with tightly-coupled storage and networking. - Experience with AI technology stack elements including prompt engineering, vector databases, LLM hosting, and fine-tuning. - Authored research publications or industry-recognized contributions in the field of neural networks, distributed training, and SysML. Location and Salary Information: - New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $269,400 - $307,500 for Distinguished Machine Learning Engineer - San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $285,400 - $325,700 for Distinguished Machine Learning Engineer - Remote (Regardless of Location): $228,300 - $260,600 for Distinguished Machine Learning Engineer Please note that salaries for part-time roles will be determined based on the agreed-upon number of hours.
