We are currently looking for a Night Shift Perfect Binder Platform Leader for our plant in Hartford, WI. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for overseeing productivity during your shift, working with operators to meet production goals, building strong and cohesive teams through fostering and mentoring relationships, maintaining or improving quality, and ensuring safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production startups by ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Train and coach production line employees.
- Improve productivity by assisting operators in troubleshooting any problems that arise.
- Audit book checks and quality devices.
- Coordinate maintenance needs with the Production Support team.
- Manage and support production line operation according to plant policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analysis (JSAs).
- Communicate with Shift Supervisors, Department Managers, and other leaders in different departments.
- Assist in production as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- General knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to learn and comprehend computer programs used in the department and shift.
Experience:
- Prior experience with Perfect Binder required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Operational and mechanical knowledge of equipment.
- Strong people skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage labor.
- Background in lean methodologies.
- Ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
- Root cause analysis skills.
Additional Shift Information:
- 12-hour night shift (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), including weekends and holidays, working 3-4 days a week.
