Job Details: - Full-Time: 40 hours per week - 2nd Shift: 12:30pm - 11pm - 4 - 10 Hour Shifts: Flexible Days - Location: Mahoning Valley - Onsite - PIRC - $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment Summary: The Mental Health Therapist II is a licensed staff member who applies graduate-level counseling skills and social work to provide clinical interventions and psychosocial assessments to individuals, adolescents, families, and groups. Responsibilities: - Conduct initial comprehensive psychosocial assessments and determine appropriate care. - Communicate assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary care plans with staff. - Provide competent care for physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages. - Manage case management for assigned patients, collaborating with professionals and programs to provide comprehensive care. - Use evidence-based trauma and risk assessment tools and crisis intervention skills as needed. - Complete documentation accurately and on time. - Perform other duties as required. Additional Responsibilities for Different Specializations: - Outpatient Add-On: Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions and other evidence-based treatment modalities to support individualized service plans. - PHP/IOP Add-On: Use CBT and DBT (Dialectical Based Therapy) interventions in individual, group, and family therapy sessions to help clients achieve therapeutic goals. - PIRC Add-On: Work in a fast-paced environment, conducting risk assessments and crisis interventions. Triage intake calls and conduct diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents seeking psychiatric and psychological services. - Substance Use Add-On: Use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing, involve families in therapy sessions and provide behavior modification techniques when necessary. Other Requirements: - Experience with electronic medical record software is preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software is required. - Experience providing clinical services through telehealth is preferred. - Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling is required. - License as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) is required. For SUD positions, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC is preferred. - Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience is required. - Supervision endorsement from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board is preferred. - Must meet Akron Children’s Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing/Privileging criteria. This is a full-time position with a 1.0 FTE.
