What You'll Bring:- At least 3 years of paid professional tax preparation experience using professional tax preparation software
- Preparation of a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the past 3 years
- Experience in preparing various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and individuals with foreign income
- Experience in preparing and filing personal tax returns, including employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all credits/deductions
- Knowledge of tax laws and concepts, excellent critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in availability/schedule
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French) is considered an asset
- Experience in preparing Quebec tax (TP1) returns is considered an asset
- Experience in providing support in a contact center environment is considered an asset
- Provide tax guidance and support to customers in a seasonal, remote, and customer-facing role
- Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Research and resolve tax-related inquiries, answering specific tax questions in written and oral forms
- Offer a comprehensive service to prepare, review, and file customers' returns with the CRA, or assist customers as they prepare their own tax returns with guidance and advice on required documents
- Research tax regulations and provide accurate advice on maximizing tax returns
- Create exceptional customer interactions and experiences by using empathy, deep tax knowledge, and expertise
- Seek and deliver the right answers for each customer using government websites, professional resources, and team expertise, while communicating in everyday language
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries
At Intuit, we offer a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. Compensation for this position ranges from PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50.
