What You'll Bring
  • At least 3 years of paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax software
  • Experience preparing a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the last 3 years
  • Familiarity with preparing various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including those of students, pensioners, self-employed, rental property owners, investors, and those with foreign income
  • Ability to prepare and file customer personal returns, including employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all applicable credits and deductions
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and concepts, excellent critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in availability/schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) considered an asset
  • Experience preparing Quebec tax (TP1) returns considered an asset
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment considered an asset
How You Will Lead
  • Provide expert tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing role
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy by offering tax guidance and/or tax preparation services
  • Research and troubleshoot tax questions, addressing specific tax inquiries from customers (written and oral)
  • Deliver a Full Service experience by preparing, reviewing, and filing customers' tax returns with the CRA, or assisting customers with their own tax return preparation by providing advice and guidance on required documents
  • Stay updated on tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing customers' tax returns
  • Create positive customer interactions and experiences that inspire confidence, using deep customer empathy and your extensive tax knowledge
  • Proactively find the correct solutions for each customer by utilizing government websites, professional resources, and team expertise, and explaining them in understandable terms
  • Apply established practices, procedures, and company policies to resolve customer inquiries

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50.
