What We're Looking For- Minimum 3+ years' paid professional tax preparation experience using professional tax preparation software
- Preparation of at least 125 tax returns per tax season for the past 3 years
- Experience in preparing and supporting various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and individuals with foreign income
- Familiarity with tax laws and concepts, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible availability/schedule
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, speaking) is considered an asset
- Experience in preparing Quebec tax (TP1) returns considered an asset
- Experience in providing support in a contact center environment considered an asset
- Provide tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing position
- Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax return, ensuring compliance and accuracy by offering tax guidance and/or tax preparation services
- Research and troubleshoot tax-related questions and provide direct assistance to customers through written and oral communication
- Offer a Full Service experience by preparing, reviewing, and filing customers' returns with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) or assisting customers as they prepare their own tax return, providing tax advice, preparation assistance, and guidance on required documents
- Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing customers' tax returns
- Create exceptional customer interactions and experiences, demonstrating deep empathy, tax knowledge, and expertise
- Proactively search for accurate answers by utilizing government websites, professional resources, and team expertise, and explaining them in simple language for customers
- Follow defined practices, procedures, and company policies to resolve customer inquiries
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50.
