Job Summary:
We are currently looking for Collections Specialists who will assist our customers in fulfilling their financial obligations by arranging repayment or settlement of account balances. As a Collections Specialist, you will work with our existing customers to provide effective customer communication and explore appropriate products or services that can help them. You will use digital channels such as web chat, text, and phone communications to connect with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Help customers with their financial servicing needs through inbound and outbound contact
- Work in a consultative manner, following all applicable laws, policies, and procedures
- Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters
- Maintain and document customer and account status information
- Collaborate with team members involved in collecting and servicing accounts
- Use online skip-tracing tools to investigate, research, and track consumer information
- Work as both a team member and an individual contributor in a goal-oriented environment
- Ensure compliance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and state regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or collections in retail, call center, or business-to-business environments
- Active listening and communication skills
- Achievement-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Work Schedule:
The average work week consists of three days during standard business hours and up to two late nights (up to 8p). The schedule includes at least one Saturday per month, one late Friday, and some extended hours at the end of each month.
