Position Purpose: Assist in maintaining Centene Corporation's Compliance Program by guiding special projects, providing regulatory interpretation, performing compliance reporting, and developing and implementing compliance auditing and monitoring strategies.

  • Respond to external requests for information needed for regulatory filings.
  • Handle inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor pending legislation and regulations that impact Centene Corporation services.
  • Maintain a database and other reference materials related to legislative and regulatory issues and compliance.
  • Communicate state and federal requirements to internal and external clients.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve compliance issues.
  • Maintain and review regulatory documentation to uphold corporate standards.
  • Develop, produce, and conduct compliance training programs.
  • Perform periodic compliance audits and risk assessments, and conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
  • Help health plans manage relationships with regulatory agencies and address policy issues that could impact member services.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Compliance Committee policy to ensure proper execution.
  • Serve as a company-wide resource and liaison on policies, contract issues, communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred and may be considered in place of experience. 1+ years of relevant experience in compliance, privacy, and/or regulatory affairs. Working knowledge of laws and regulations, particularly HIPAA and state regulations.
