Job Opportunity: Retail Sales Associate at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) At Chevron Stations Inc (CSI), we are dedicated to creating a positive work environment where all employees are valued and respected. Responsibilities: - Maintain professional and courteous communication with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community. - Adhere to CSI's image standards by presenting a neat appearance and practicing good personal hygiene. - Follow safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as CSI's policies and procedures. Report any accidents or incidents to the manager immediately. - Prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself, your colleagues, and others by following the CSI Loss Prevention process. - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations by practicing proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures. - Follow federal laws and company standards when verifying the age of customers for age-restricted products. - Maintain professional relationships with vendors and contractors. - Demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance. - Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures according to city and county regulations when preparing food products. Essential Functions: - Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and thanking customers while maintaining eye contact. - Accurately and safely conduct point-of-sale activities, including fuel and retail sales transactions using various forms of payment. - Manage cash drawer to ensure accurate sales management and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift. - Regularly clean indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash (if applicable). - Prepare food and beverages, monitor product levels, and restock as needed. - Actively promote store specials and marketing programs. - Cross-check the price of delivered goods for accuracy. - Organize and distribute delivered goods throughout the store, ensuring shelves are fully stocked. - Follow local laws when refueling vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to the specified level (Oregon only). - Complete other assigned duties as required. Requirements/Qualifications: - Availability to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgment. - Ability to work independently and in a team setting. - Possession of up-to-date food handling certificates (in specific locations only), as required by law. - Previous cooking or restaurant experience is preferred. Supervisor Responsibilities: - This position does not involve any supervisory responsibilities. Travel: - Rare travel required for mandatory training and to cover nearby stations. Physical Demands: - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard and uneven surfaces. - Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques. Team-lift concept should be used for heavy or awkward objects weighing over 25 pounds. - Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures involve constant standing, bending, and reaching. - Ability to work safely with equipment that generates high temperatures, using appropriate personal protective equipment. - Exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours. - Moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34°F or lower. - Frequent handwashing and adherence to personal cleanliness standards. Age Requirements: - Applicants must be at least 18 years old for California and Oregon locations. - Applicants must be at least 21 years old for Washington locations. - Applicants must be at least 21 years old to work the graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am. - Applicants must be at least 21 years old for management positions.
