Job Description
Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team at our retail stations. We believe in the importance of passion and customer focus in our work. Responsibilities:
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community
- Adhere to CSI image standards by maintaining a neat appearance and good personal hygiene
- Follow safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as CSI policies and procedures
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the manager
- Utilize the CSI Loss Prevention process to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Follow proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures to ensure food safety hygiene
- Card customers for age-restricted products in accordance with federal law and company standards
- Work professionally with vendors and contractors
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures during cooking of food products
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and thanking all customers
- Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely, following CSI guidelines and procedures
- Manage cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift
- Clean indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, pumps, and car wash
- Prepare food and beverages, restocking as needed
- Promote store specials and marketing programs
- Check price of delivered goods for accuracy
- Distribute delivered goods throughout the store
- Adhere to local law requirements when fueling vehicles
- May perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgement
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only)
- Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Travel:
- Rare, limited to required training and coverage for nearby stations
Physical Demands Include but are not limited to:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on hard and uneven surfaces
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques
- Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures may require constant standing, bending, and reaching
- Work safely with equipment that can create high temperatures, using appropriate protective equipment
- Periodic exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours
- Moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers
- Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness
Please note:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to work in California and Oregon locations
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Washington locations and graveyard shifts from 10pm to 6am
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in management positions
