Job Description
Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) is a company that sells gasoline and convenience products at our retail stations. Job Expectations:
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Maintain a neat appearance and good personal hygiene according to CSI image standards.
- Follow safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as CSI policies, procedures, and programs. Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
- Ensure the safety of yourself, fellow employees, and others in the workplace by following the CSI Loss Prevention process.
- Adhere to proper food safety and hygiene practices, including sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures in compliance with county regulations.
- Follow federal law and company standards for checking customer identification for age-restricted products.
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Be punctual and attend work regularly.
- Follow kitchen and sanitation procedures according to city and county regulations when cooking KKC (Krispy Krunchy Chicken) products.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional guest service by being courteous, greeting and thanking customers, and making eye contact.
- Perform accurate and safe point-of-sale activities according to CSI guidelines and procedures, including retail and fuel sales transactions.
- Manage cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift to ensure accurate sales management.
- Clean both indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash (if applicable).
- Prepare food and beverages, monitor product levels, and restock as needed to maximize sales and minimize loss.
- Promote store specials and other marketing programs.
- Check the price of delivered goods for accuracy.
- Distribute delivered goods throughout the store, ensuring shelves are fully stocked.
- Follow local law requirements for fueling vehicles.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be available to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and exceptional judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
- Cooking/restaurant experience preferred.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel:
- Rare, limited to required training and coverage for nearby stations.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques.
- Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures require constant standing, bending, and reaching.
- Work safely with equipment that can create and hold very high temperatures while using appropriate protective equipment.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours.
- Exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34 F or lower.
- Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness.
Please note that age requirements vary by state:
- Must be at least 18 years old or older to work in California and Oregon locations.
- Must be at least 21 years old or older to work in Washington locations.
- Must be at least 21 years old or older to work the graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am.
- Must be at least 21 years old or older to work in management positions.
