What will you be doing: As a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Endocrinology, you will be responsible for applying the nursing process, supervising clinical practice, conducting research, providing consultative services, acting as a liaison between departments, educating others, showing leadership, and managing patient care across the entire healthcare continuum. This includes preventative care, acute care, and post-discharge support. You will work closely with a team of outstanding Pediatric Endocrinologists, providing inpatient and outpatient care to children with various diagnoses. Your responsibilities also include independent decision-making and collaboration with physicians to provide expert care. You will report to the medical director and the chief nursing officer, playing an integral role within the medical team. You will provide individualized care in line with CSHS philosophies and standards, including the Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care, the Plan for Provision of Patient Care, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan, Professional Organization Standards, the Code of Conduct, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
