Position: Registered Nurse III - Ambulatory Clinic Heart Institute

We are dedicated to fostering collaboration and expertise across all specialties, including transplantation, stem cell therapy, congenital heart disease, women's heart health, valve disorders, arrhythmia, and hypertension.

Essential Duties:

• Perform direct patient care activities, tailored to the specific needs of the patient population
• Conduct patient assessments and triage concerns, providing clinical education for pre-ops and disease management
• Manage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and oversee the ambulatory cardiac clinic
• Handle prior authorizations and triage phone calls from patients and other healthcare providers
• Evaluate patient abilities to follow instructions and identify safety concerns in different age groups
• Implement measures to ensure a safe environment

Requirements:

Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN required.

Licenses: Valid California nursing license. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Specialty certification desired within one year of hire.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute RN experience. At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred. Experience in Cardiology, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery strongly desired.
