We are currently hiring for the role of Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCPII) - a position that requires the provision of cardiopulmonary care services based on specific physician's orders and department policies. As part of our team, you will work under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Manager, ensuring that all patient care interactions are conducted with sensitivity to the diverse needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. What will you be doing in this role?

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II, your responsibilities include:

• Administering respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purpose and possible side effects.
• Performing EKGs, sending reports to requesting physicians, and maintaining proper documentation.
• Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of different techniques and treatment modalities for patients of varying ages.
• Following medication administration protocols to ensure patient safety and reduce errors.
• Providing patient care in an environment that prioritizes safety and minimizes medical errors.
• Developing and implementing teaching plans tailored to patient's learning needs, including involvement of their family if appropriate.
• Treating patients and their families with respect and dignity.
• Completing additional duties as assigned by the department manager.

Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 (12 hours)

• Current California State Respiratory Therapist Licensure (required)
• Registered by NBRC
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (preferred)
• One (1) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services (required)
• Basic computer knowledge (required)
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written (required)
