Position Summary: As a Charge Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide direct and indirect patient care. Your responsibilities will include overseeing unit operations during your shift, addressing any issues that arise, and serving as a mentor to unit staff. You will also play a vital role in determining patient care priorities and ensuring smooth patient flow through the healthcare system. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 12-bed Medical and Respiratory MICU that cares for patients with acute medical issues. Our registered nurses typically have a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio, with each room equipped with HEPA filters, PAPRS, and new N95 masks provided daily.
