We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse II, Oncology, who will provide direct care to Oncology patients in an outpatient setting. You will use approved policies and procedures to deliver nursing care, and your decision-making skills will help you manage your patients' needs safely and independently. As a Clinical Nurse II, Oncology, you will create care plans, set goals, and provide care in line with established standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess the needs of oncology patients and their learning needs.
• Review lab results and include them in assessments.
• Monitor and improve the care of oncology patients through Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to plan patient care and education.
• Refer patients to other interdisciplinary healthcare team members as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills required for the role.
• Establish intravenous (IV) access and administer IV therapy.

Education:

You must have an Associate's Degree or College Diploma in Nursing. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

License/Certifications:

• You must have a valid RN license in California.
• You must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• You must be ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certified.

Experience:

You need at least one year of acute care experience in your specialty. Excellent IV skills are required, and experience with chemotherapy infusion is strongly desired. Oncology nursing experience is preferred.
