In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert care across various healthcare settings, including preventative care, acute care, and ambulatory care. By collaborating with physicians and utilizing your independent decision-making abilities, you will ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including those with special needs and different cultural backgrounds. You will be an integral part of our medical team, reporting to the physician partners and/or supervising physician, as well as the Director of Clinical Operations/designee.

Your practice will be guided by the Nurse Practitioner Standardized Procedures, in compliance with the Board of Registered Nursing California code of regulations. These procedures are developed in collaboration with our healthcare team and represent an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough age-specific patient evaluations and documenting results
• Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Analyzing and organizing care plans for complex patients
• Evaluating patient outcomes and suggesting improvements based on evidence-based standards of care
• Providing patient education and counseling on various topics

This role offers a dynamic working schedule, combining in-patient and out-patient care. You will work a 4/10s schedule with rotating weekends, spending one day in dialysis and three days in-patient rounding. Flexibility and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Educational requirements:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
• MSN Degree required.

License/Certification requirements:

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.
• Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Experience:

• Minimum one year of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
• For Nephrology practice, two years of nursing experience required, preferably in a Nephrology setting.

This position is for a full-time Nurse Practitioner in the CSMG Nephrology Inpatient & Dialysis department, within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation. The base pay ranges from $131,500 to $210,200 per year.
