Job Opportunity: Director in Cash & Securities Administration

At MassMutual, we are looking for an experienced Director in Cash & Securities Administration to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the asset lifecycle of MassMutual's General Investment Account (GIA). Your work will involve various investment managers and asset classes, and you will play a crucial role in implementing our Target Operating Model and other important projects. As the leader of a team, your expertise and guidance will be essential.

You will report to the Head of Cash & Securities Administration and join the Investment Operations Team within the Investment Management Division. Our team is diverse and agile, working independently but also collaboratively. Your Impact

• Manage and oversee multiple functions of Cash & Securities Administration, including different asset classes and their lifecycles.
• Develop and implement business processes, contributing to the improvement of our operations.
• Manage complex projects across divisions and contribute to the growth of Investment Operations Eagle STAR assets.
• Facilitate remediation and problem-solving efforts related to reconciliation issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to accommodate new products traded by investment managers.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency beyond your immediate responsibilities.
• Lead employee development, training, and planning.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and anticipate changes in the investment landscape.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and programs.
• Represent the company's interests by participating in relevant external teams.
• Maintain MassMutual's internal control standards and address audit points effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business
• 8+ years of general investment-middle/back-office operations experience, including treasury operations

Ideal Qualifications

• Understanding of the Investment Management process and related data flows
• Ability to work with investment data providers and consumers to identify and solve issues
• Knowledge of various asset classes and how investment information is used
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
• Excellent communication skills for conflict resolution
• Familiarity with Eagle STAR, PACE, and SAP
• Ability to independently problem solve and know when to escalate issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships
• Awareness of risk and controls
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to identify process and system improvements
