Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • Utilizing Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs, such as tire replacements or rotations, vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance
  • Working alongside your manager to learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching
  • Assisting with other assigned projects and tasks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to adhere to specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
  • Ability to perform work in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
  • Willingness to work required schedules, at specific locations, and travel as needed for training

This position falls under the regulations of the Department of Transportation and may be designated as safety-sensitive. The ability to work attentively and safely is required, with a responsibility for personal and others' safety.
