What will you do in this role?

As a Clinical Partner, you will have responsibility and accountability for applying the nursing process and delivering patient care to a specialized patient population. You will provide personal nursing care and perform routine tasks under the guidance of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Participate in patient care implementation and contribute to the care plan under the supervision of the RN.
  • Ensure the safety of patients, families, and significant others. Minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections by following current CDC hand washing guidelines and CSMC isolation policy.
  • Use restraints interventions safely as directed by the charge nurse or primary RN.
  • Maintain patient stability by monitoring vital signs and weight, recording intake and output, dispensing/retrieving patient care supplies, reporting abnormal vital signs to the charge nurse or primary RN, and accurately documenting in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and care areas.
  • Assist patients during tests and procedures.
  • Support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
 
Qualifications:

Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in an acute care facility (hospital or medical center strongly preferred).

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) approved by the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross: Required

Valid California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification: Required

High School Diploma/GED: Required

Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to carry out the duties mentioned in this job description.

Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and healthcare colleagues.

Preferred knowledge of therapeutic positioning techniques.
