Cedars-Sinai's Operating Room (O.R.) is known for its exceptional care and excellent outcomes. With state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative approach, our highly trained surgeons perform around 32,000 surgeries each year. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our O.R. team and care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide and document direct and indirect patient care services, ensuring patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection
• Offer patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents as necessary for treatment and care
• Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access
• Observe and assess signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, and general physical condition, taking appropriate action when needed
• Plan and implement care based on observations, while considering patients' cultural backgrounds and special needs
• Assess patients' readiness for learning and ability to follow instructions, while ensuring patient safety
• Create a safe environment for patients and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or higher preferred)
• Current California State RN License
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification
• National Specialty Certification (to be obtained within one year of hire for external applicants)
• Minimum 3 years of acute RN experience in an Operating Room setting (1-year experience considered for Registered Nurse II)
• Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice
• Dedicated and compassionate customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
