Job Summary:
We are looking for compassionate individuals to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, your main responsibilities will include educating patients and their families about diseases, treatments, side effects, and symptom management. You will also connect patients with necessary resources such as home care and physical therapy. Coordinating care among different healthcare providers is important to ensure the best possible care and support for each patient. Additionally, you will assist in rooming patients, assessing their condition, and facilitating communication with the doctor. Other duties include obtaining outside records, making post-procedure phone calls, triaging phone calls from patients, and assisting physicians with office-based procedures.
Educational Requirements:
An associate degree is required.
Licenses:
You must have a California State RN License and BCLS Certification. Other competencies required by your specialty unit are desirable (e.g. ACLS, PALS, fetal heart monitoring). ANCC Specialty Certification is strongly recommended after 2 years in the specialty.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
Physical Demands:
This role requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs).
