The S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center, which is part of Cedars-Sinai, offers a comprehensive range of imaging services for both adults and children. Each year, our center performs and interprets nearly 500,000 exams and procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. Our highly qualified physicians are board certified in various subspecialties by the American Board of Radiology. In addition, our compassionate team of technologists and staff is committed to delivering the latest imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a caring environment.

Summary of Essential Duties:

• Observe and recognize signs and symptoms of illness, as well as reactions to medications, treatments, and procedures
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents
• Assess signs and symptoms to differentiate between normal and abnormal characteristics
• Plan and implement care based on observations
• Document and report appropriately with the use of standardized practices and procedures
• Take appropriate action during emergency situations
• Identify patients' ability to follow instructions and provide consent
• Identify and assess patient safety concerns, intervene to create a safe environment, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

Education:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program is required
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

License/Certification:

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care nursing
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in imaging nursing
• Expertise in reading EKG's, proficient in starting IVs, and monitoring sedated patients of all ages
• Comfortable with educating patients about upcoming procedures
• Experience responding to emergency codes is highly advantageous
• Preferred: Previous experience working with implantable cardiac devices, including the ability to perform interrogation and reprogramming for patients undergoing MRI scans
