We are currently hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our Beverly Hills location, who will primarily drive to various Cedars-Sinai affiliates in San Fernando Valley, Westside, and SouthBay. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our physician and clinical staff offices in delivering healthcare. Your responsibilities will include the appropriate use of Pyxis, a medication management system. You will train nursing staff on Pyxis usage, ensure medications are properly signed out and accounted for, restock medications, perform inventory checks, and manage expired medications. Additionally, you will monitor refrigeration temperatures, generate reports, facilitate the Injectable Medication Authorization process, create purchase orders, and procure medications from vendors. To qualify for this role, you need a high school diploma or GED. You must also possess a CA Pharmacy Tech License and a valid CA Driver's license for stocking Pyxis machines at our outpatient clinics in Pasadena. We prefer candidates with at least 1 year of experience in med purchasing/Pyxis within an inpatient hospital or a relevant pharmacy setting. Experience with Pyxis or any automated medication dispensing units is also desirable. This position requires physical demands such as lifting, standing, walking, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crouching, handling, grasping, hearing, and talking.
