We are looking for a caring and experienced Clinical Nurse, Procedural to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse, Procedural, you will provide personalized nursing care to patients based on their individual needs, following the orders of the physician and using recognized nursing techniques. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients throughout their procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to provide support and care before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and assist in completing procedure logs.
• Communicate important information clearly and accurately to physicians and coworkers.
• Create a safe environment for patients to prevent any injuries.
• Intervene and investigate any problem situations, reporting information to supervisors and documenting them accurately.
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintain and clean equipment and supplies, such as endoscopy equipment and patient monitoring equipment.
• Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and medications.
• Administer oral and IV medications in a safe and accurate manner.
• Ensure that patients understand and sign informed consents before receiving sedation.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Supervise patients receiving Conscious Sedation/Analgesia.
• Maintain the sterility and cleanliness of the procedure room and test the functionality of endoscopy equipment.
• Report situations beyond your capability or job responsibilities to appropriate personnel and communicate any errors.
• May receive cross-training to provide pre and post-operative nursing care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

License/Certifications:

• Valid CA RN license required.
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Experience:

Two (2) years of nursing experience required. Five (5) years preferred.
