Position: Full Time (40 hours per week) Monday-Friday Days with Saturday morning rotation

Summary:

As a nurse in this role, you will provide nursing care and guidance under the direction of physicians at the site.

Responsibilities:

• Support the provider staff and promote efficient and quality care for pediatric patients using a team approach
• Precept new employees and mentor clinical staff
• Conduct patient assessments as required
• Participate in the development of education programs for clinical staff
• Evaluate clinical staff competency at 90 days and during annual evaluations
• Advocate for children's health maintenance and maintain a positive public image in interactions with families and the general public
• Provide consultations and assist with discharge planning
• Perform other duties as required

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to other staff members
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Experience working with various levels within an organization
• Experience in pediatric ambulatory care preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar software
• Experience with an electronic medical record system (e.g., EPIC) preferred

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Candidates without a BSN must obtain the degree within 5 years of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred
