As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide direct care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. You will follow approved policies and procedures to deliver nursing care that meets the highest standards. Your role may involve exposure to chemotherapy, chemotherapy-contaminated waste, and infectious materials, including blood, body fluids, and possible communicable diseases. We prioritize your safety and provide protective barriers such as gowns, gloves, masks, and goggles/face shields to ensure your protection. The tasks may involve a Category I exposure to HBV/HIV.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accessing ports, PICCs, and central lines for administering treatments
• Taking and triaging patient phone calls
• Coordinating complex oncology care for our patients

Educational Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred

Licenses:

• Preferably an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card
• California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS Certification

Experience:

• At least two years of experience in oncology/chemotherapy
• Experience working in an oncology ambulatory clinic is preferred

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing up to 75 lbs, pulling up to 75 lbs
• Balancing, stooping, eye/hand/foot coordination, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing
