Position: General Nursing
Location: Onsite
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday, variable day shift with rotating Saturdays
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (taxable)
Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse with Medication Designation License assists in delivering nursing care to a group of patients under the delegation of a Registered Nurse. They also provide patient/family education and assist in teaching staff members. The role requires basic knowledge of various sciences and the ability to apply it to patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments, monitor and collect patient data, and communicate any abnormal findings
- Contribute to the development of patient care and discharge plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Participate in educational efforts of the department and unit
- Provide care for patients of all ages and developmental stages, considering their physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
- Adhere to regulatory standards applicable to the nursing profession
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Experience working with diverse groups within an organization
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software
- Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR is a plus
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Medication/IV designation or eligible for certification
- Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association
- Specific certifications may be required depending on the department or unit
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- No prior supervisory experience required
