Lead Senior Software Engineer  (C++ Developer) – Multiple Locations.

What you will be doing -

• Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Collaborate with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Create technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Write code, perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on system applications.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• May deliver presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring -

Required Skillset

•            Strong C++ skills.

•            Ability to write C++ code that works across multiple platforms (Windows/Unix/Linux.)

•            Good knowledge of compilers on various platforms.

•            Good knowledge of design patterns.

•            Intermediate exposure/knowledge to algorithm design

•            Good debugging skills using Visual Studio and GDB.

•            Good communication skills with other developers and business analysts.

•            High-level problem-solving ability and ability to develop detailed design solutions from these problems.

•            Self-motivated and able to work independently

•            Experience with TFS/Source Safe/BitBucket source code versioning tools.

Good to have Skills and Knowledge

•            Knowledge of any of the following libraries is a plus: Xerces, Freetype, ImageMagick, ICU, ACE, LevelDB

•            Experience with printer languages AFP, PostScript, PDF, PCL, Metacode

•            Experience with markup languages HTML, XML, and OOXML

•            Experience with image conversions

•            Experience with TrueType fonts

•            Working knowledge of Java

Qualifications -

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or another related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
