About the Team

Our team is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software. We work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and create high-quality technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies, while following FIS architectural standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing application software development services, typically in a defined project
  • Developing program logic for new applications or modifying logic in existing applications
  • Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, and maintaining software applications
  • Making recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code
  • Ensuring successful implementation of system improvements

What You Bring

  • Must have 3-7 years of experience in production support of JAVA and LINUX-based applications
  • A passion for problem-solving with strong analytical capabilities
  • Experience with Unix/Linux-based applications and extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server Database
  • Experience in a structured Ticketing Management environment (Incident Ticket, Problem Ticket, Change Ticket, and Service Request)
  • Ability to analyze application logs, troubleshoot issues, determine action, and ensure application environments work smoothly

Added Bonus if You Have

  • Knowledge of FIS' products and services
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Knowledge and experience in WebSphere 9, JBOSS, and OpenShift Container management is preferred
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow (SNOW), Dynatrace, and Splunk required
  • Knowledge of Bit Bucket, JENKINS, and REST Webservices is preferred
  • Knowledge of networking and load balancer concepts
  • Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
