The S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center, a part of Cedars-Sinai, offers a wide range of imaging services for adults and children. Every year, we perform and interpret nearly 500,000 exams and procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Our physicians are certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective specialties. Our imaging physicians are specialized, our technologists are certified by the American College of Radiology, and our staff is dedicated to providing our patients with the latest imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a caring environment.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

• Observe and identify signs of illness and patients' responses to medications, treatments, and procedures
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents
• Assess signs and symptoms to determine if they are normal or abnormal
• Create and implement care plans based on observations
• Document and report appropriately using standardized practices and procedures
• Implement emergency procedures when necessary
• Evaluate patients' ability to follow instructions and give informed consent
• Identify and address patient safety concerns, creating a safe environment

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred

License/Certification:

• Current and unrestricted California RN License
• ACLS or PALS certification

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care nursing is required
• 2 years of experience in imaging nursing is preferred
• Ability to read EKGs, expertly start IVs, and monitor sedated patients of all ages
• Comfortable in educating patients about upcoming procedures
• Experience in responding to emergency codes is highly preferred
• Preferred: Prior experience with implantable cardiac devices, including the ability to program and monitor devices for patients undergoing MRI scans
