The S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center, a division of Cedars-Sinai, is dedicated to offering a wide range of imaging services for adults and children. We perform and interpret almost 500,000 exams and procedures annually. Our team consists of board-certified radiologists, technologists certified by the American College of Radiology, and caring staff who strive to provide compassionate care and innovative treatment options using the latest imaging technologies.
A Clinical Nurse III (CN III) is an experienced clinician who efficiently and effectively provides nursing care. They possess a deep knowledge of nursing care for a specific patient population and are considered a resource for staff on patient care issues.

•    Provides and documents nursing care components for direct and indirect patient services, ensuring patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection
•    Provides experienced care and patient education on disease prevention and recovery
•    Delivers comprehensive care to complex patients, including administering medications and therapeutic agents, and performing tests and procedures
•    Performs skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiates vein access
•    Plans and implements individualized patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and initiates emergency procedures when necessary
•    Provides care to diverse patient populations with respect and sensitivity to their unique needs and backgrounds
•    Assesses patient safety concerns based on age and development, intervenes to ensure a safe environment, and evaluates effectiveness of interventions
•    Demonstrates leadership skills and actively participates in activities such as shared governance, collaborative initiatives, committee work, and community service
•    Coordinates unit activity as charge nurse when assigned and delegates tasks to healthcare workers within their job responsibilities

Educational Requirements:

•    Graduate of an accredited nursing program
•    BSN preferred

Licenses:

•    Current, unrestricted California RN License
•    ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Experience:

•    Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care Nursing experience required
•    2 years of Imaging Nursing experience preferred
•    Ability to read EKG's, proficient in IV starting, and skilled in monitoring sedated patients of all ages
•    Comfortable educating patients about pending procedures/treatments
•    Experience responding to codes highly preferred
•    Preferred: Prior experience with implantable cardiac devices, including the ability to perform interrogation and reprogramming of devices for patients undergoing MRI scans
•    Internal applicants must have been a Clinical Nurse II for at least 1 year
