Job Summary: To help and support every student, regardless of their background, to gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge they need to achieve their goals, contribute to their communities, and continue learning throughout their lives. In this position, you will work with the Early Childhood & Family Education (EC&FE) Program Coordinator and staff to develop, implement, and evaluate district-wide EC&FE programs. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about child development, has excellent communication and collaboration skills, and is able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Duties Include:
- Assist in leading and developing program areas
- Recruit, train, and supervise non-licensed staff
- Support ongoing assessment of community needs
- Help develop and execute a marketing and outreach plan based on community needs
- Contribute to various grants and initiatives
- Manage data and stay in touch with community stakeholders
- Monitor program finances, including tuition collection
- Use enrollment data to plan for future program needs
- Support other Community Education programs as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master’s Degree is preferred in Education, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in public school and/or community-based early childhood and family education programming preferred
- 3+ years of supervising Community Education programs and staff is preferred for this position
Desired:
- A teaching license in parent education and/or early childhood
- Experience teaching in ECFE or similar programs
- Experience with home visiting and aligning PreK-3rd grade education
- Experience with outreach and/or marketing programs
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Experience working with families with low socio-economic status
Salary: Please refer to the salary grids on Pages 3 - 4, Section 1. of the Management Personnel I-M agreement
Work schedule: Our work schedule will be flexible and developed in consultation with your supervisor, in order to best meet the needs of our staff team and customers. This is a salaried position that includes summer hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
