Job Description

Community Education Program Manager Job Summary: We are looking for someone to inspire and support all members of our community in achieving their dreams, contributing to our community, and pursuing lifelong learning. This position involves providing assistance and input to our Early Childhood & Family Education Program. We are seeking someone with knowledge of child and family development, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work well with diverse groups of people. Duties Include: - Assisting with the leadership and development of program areas - Recruiting, training, and supervising staff who do not require a professional license - Supporting ongoing community needs assessment work - Developing and implementing a marketing and outreach plan based on community needs - Managing grants and initiatives, including reporting on their progress - Handling data and communication with stakeholders - Monitoring program finances, including tuition collection - Analyzing enrollment data to inform future program needs - Providing assistance in other Community Education program areas as needed Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Education, Business Administration, or a related field - At least 3 years of relevant work experience in public schools and/or community-based early childhood and family education preferred - At least 3 years of experience supervising Community Education programs and staff preferred Desired: - Teaching license in parent education and/or early childhood - Experience teaching in Early Childhood & Family Education or similar programs - Experience with home visiting and aligning PreK-3rd grade education - Experience with outreach and/or marketing programs - Experience working with diverse populations - Experience working with families of low socio-economic status Salary: Please refer to the salary grids on Pages 3-4, Section 1 of the Management Personnel I-M agreement. Work Schedule: Core hours will be developed upon hire and may be flexible with supervisor approval. This is a salaried position that includes summer hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
