We are currently looking for candidates to join our Financial Risk Technology Team in Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG). Our goal is to create a culture of engineering and delivery that prioritizes the needs of our business while meeting the complex demands of a global bank like Citi. This team is responsible for developing technology and software solutions for market and credit risk management in Citi’s Front Office and Back Office Risk Management. These solutions include processing engines for market data, pricing calculation engines, and big data lakes for risk metrics and stress testing results. Joining this team will provide candidates with an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge software solutions for risk management using the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of big data frameworks and solutions
• Manage a global team of software engineers, delivering solutions for Citi’s Market Risk user community
• Ensure that solutions meet architectural and data model standards
• Enforce SDLC best practices for effective code management
• Collaborate with other teams and influence key decisions for robust software solutions

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Java programming
• Extensive experience with Spark programming for big data development
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hive and Spark
• Experience in designing solutions using big data and Spark
• Scripting skills and familiarity with Linux
• Scala knowledge is a plus

Knowledge & Experience:

• Proven engineering experience in the Capital Markets Technology industry
• At least 10 years of application development experience
• Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role, managing global technology teams
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Big Data development using Spark and Hive
• Experience in Market Risk is preferred
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem

• Strong leadership abilities
• Effective collaboration in a global team and ability to influence decisions
• Ability to work well under pressure

Education:

• Graduate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) discipline. Master’s degree is a plus
