Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Possibility of working on holidays based on business needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicles are well-maintained and safe for our customers
  • Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment independently and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Continuously learn new skills through Penske's technician training program
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of practical experience in truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
  • Specialized training and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting major components preferred
  • Experienced in using various tools of the trade, including welding equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills
