Job Description

Context

At JobTeaser, the tech team is organized in autonomous squads which have all the required skills to handle their mission.

Mission

As the lead developer, you are in charge of organizing the day to day work of the squad.

Your are expected to :

  • Foster a good communication within the squad.

  • Animate technical discussions so that decisions are :

    • in context and in the best interest of JobTeaser,

    • taken in a timely manner,

    • consistent with the long term technical vision of JobTeaser.

  • Be the go - to person for the product manager and the UX designer of the squad when they don’t know who else to ask.

  • Organize scrum ceremonies and make sure people understand scrum and use it properly. “Servant Leader” is your middle name.

  • Contribute to the development without making yourself a bottleneck.

  • Be a role model within your squad : Humility, Enthusiasm, Agility, Commitment.

You can count on :

  • The Chapters (technical transverse groups, to which you can contribute by the way) to provide clear guidelines and technical vision for backend development, frontend development, and testing.

  • The Engineering Managers for the staffing of your squad, and the career management and personal development of the people within.

  • The Product Manager and UX Designer to provide a clear long term strategy and clear short term priorities.

  • The agile coach to help implement scrum properly.

Qualifications

  • You are an experienced developer, so that you can :

    • have a good understanding of the context in which your squad works,

    • lead by example through individual contribution.

  • You have good interpersonal skills, so you can identify miscommunication situations and avoid losing time because of them.

  • You have the mindset of a humble servant, so you can guide the team without micromanaging it.

  • Experience with scrum would help.

  • Experience in a leadership position would help.
