Jiffix is an early-stage mobility technology start-up located in Abuja, Nigeria. We are building the largest network of mechanics and technicians in Africa and verifying and certifying their technical knowledge and professionalism. At the heart of what we do, we want to ensure that every car owner has access to at least five (5) qualified and certified technicians within 5 minutes radius, anywhere in Nigeria.

We are looking for a creative User Experience & Interface Designer who will be responsible for collecting, researching, investigating & evaluating user requirements. S/he will be responsible for delivering an outstanding user experience providing an exceptional & intuitive application design for all Jiffix software products.

• Plan, implement & optimize new designs and existing user interface designs.
• Translate business requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns & attractive user interfaces.
• Design UI elements such as input controls, navigational components & informational components. 
• Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics & usability findings into design to enhance user experience.
• Create original graphic designs such as images, sketches, tables and other web/applications designs. 
• Design user interface elements such as menus, widgets, tabs, etc.
• Illustrate the functions of websites/webpages and develop mockups & prototypes.
• Monitor & manage previously developed/designed websites, webpages, applications & related products.
• Test new ideas and conduct user research/usability testing to evaluate user experience.

• A Degree or Higher Diploma in Graphics/Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Fine Art, Engineering, Architecture or related courses.
• At least two (2) years proven experience in User Experience/UI design with a strong portfolio to show. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Acrobat, Figma, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision, Visio etc.)
• Strong knowledge of responsive and interactive designs.
• Excellent meticulousness, attentiveness, design thinking & communication skills.
• A keen eye for aesthetics & can clearly articulate ideas, designs and suggestions.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, iOS & Android OS is an additional advantage.
• Experience in the Automotive industry or e-hailing business is an added advantage.
