Job Description

The Jeron Security Sales Account Executive position develops and executes business develop strategies to grow sales for the Jeron Area of Rescue (AOR) product line.  This key position recruits, manages, develops and grows larger national and regional distributors to increase sales across all offices for these distributors.   

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Jeron 480 AOR product line is listed as the primary product in their corporate approved product lists and specification systems.  The Security Sales Account Executive executes a strategy to conduct virtual or in person presentations and lunch and learn sessions to major Architect & Engineering (A&E) firms that specify AOR and other security products.  These presentations can be virtual (from the Jeron Provider Technology Center or in Person). 

The Security Sales Account Executive stays informed about new changes in the regulatory requirements or market conditions and brings this information back to the management team with recommendations on how to capitalize or turn those new market developments into opportunities.  This position is a hybrid between inside and outside sales.  The Security Sales Account Executive works industry trade shows and travels across the U.S for key in-person meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes the strategy to grow system sales and works with company team members in developing sales strategy.  Responsible for driving sales growth and hitting or exceeding system sales annual sales quota
  • Maintains a current customer database in the company CRM and takes initiative to regularly contact customers to discuss their needs, and provide new product information 
  • Develops a sales pipeline and regularly reports progress weekly to senior management
  • Maintains technical product knowledge, understands product capabilities, product specifications, applicable regulations and limitations – keeps customers informed of such details
  • Works closely with applications engineering for all bid requests, product quotes and proposal development
  • Travels and holds in-person sales meetings with strategic distributors or new prospects monthly or as needed
  • Conducts virtual sales meetings from any location.  For important virtual meetings the Security Sales Account Executive uses the Provider Technology Center at Corporate Office (in Niles, IL) as needed.
  • Works all Jeron AOR trade shows as planned by the Jeron Marketing Department

Qualifications

  • Previous outside / inside sales experience with security products.  Experience with Area of Rescue products strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience in low voltage security systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction, communication or fire systems a plus
  • Detail oriented with strong personal, phone and electronic communication skills to establish rapport with customers and recruit new customers
  • Prior experience presenting in-person or via web
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States (at least 50%)
